‘Forever Grateful’
This time of year I like to reflect back on my year. I always feel grateful for my team
around me and for all that we have achieved together in a short period of time.
It has been yet another rollercoaster year for many of us as we almost wave goodbye to 2016,
and welcome yet another new year, but not quite yet!
During the Toronto International Film Festival I joined Paul Haggis, Maria Bello and Jeremy
Renner, to name a few, at the Artists for Peace and Justice gala honoring Sean Penn. An
impressive 1.25 million dollars was raised at the annual event presented at the iconic Casa
Loma in Toronto Canada.
Also last month I was honored to be invited by the Editor of Variety Latino, and fellow
Dominican, Yoselin Acevedo for the annual Variety Latino Power of Latino event at The
London West Hollywood. It was a wonderful evening with many Latin stars of today and of
tomorrow.
Just recently I attended the 2016 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards Presented By
Jaguar, Land Rover and American Airlines at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. It was such a
delightful English evening, with dazzling attendees. The event was hosted by the very funny
Ben ‘Doc Brown’ Smith. Joining him on stage were superstars of stage and screen Tom
Hanks, Brie Larson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Christopher Guest who acted as presenters
throughout the evening. Collecting awards were Jodie Foster, Ang Lee, Samuel L. Jackson,
Ricky Gervais, Ewan McGregor and Felicity Jones.
What a way to kick off awards season!
Finally I am thrilled to announce I have added the Crawford Talent Agency in Europe
to my team of international representation. The talent agency, based in Berlin, join my
entertainment attorney, Jim Kiick, of Morris, Yorn, Barnes, Levine, Krintzman, Rubenstein,
Kohner and Gellmen, and long-time British publicist Liz Rodriguez of EMR Media.
