Make this BRUTALITY STOP NOW @barackobama before you leave office! #nodapl Repost @officialraulcastillo ??? Awful. My thoughts are with all the activists at Standing Rock. I'm horrified. From @berniesanders: Hundreds of people have been brutalized tonight and are continuing to be. This is state sanctioned. All of it: Mace, rubber bullets, percussion grenades, they took a water hose in 15 degree weather and doused HUNDREDS. An elder went into cardiac arrest and is in critical condition after being hit with a rubber bullet. THIS is what America is about. THIS is what Indigenous people have experienced for hundreds of years so that people in the U.S. can enjoy ice cubes, Black Friday shopping, and all of the things capitalism convinces us we need but actually don't (like the Dakota Access Pipeline.) REMEMBER you are on stolen Native land, built on stolen labor from Black folx. HONOR that. COME to Standing Rock and support the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe as they, and we all together say #NoDAPL. Nothing is worth this on this NO THANKS, NO GIVING holiday. Nothing.
