MARCH MOVIE MAYHEM – Katherine Castro

It is hard to believe we are already in March and Spring will soon be here in Southern California.

Last month we celebrated a fabulous awards season where the impossible was made possible for the independent film community. I was very honored to again support the Annual Artists for Peace and Justice Pre-Oscar Party which benefits the children of the slums of Haiti. The star-studded event was sponsored by Bovet 1822 and hosted by Pascal Raffy, David Bell, Daya Fernandez, Patricia Arquette and Adrian Brody.

Special thanks to fashion designer Natt Taylor for dressing me in one of her jazzy red jumpsuits from her latest collection.

During the Awards weekend I also joined my fellow independent filmmakers at this year’s 30th Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards and was incredibly proud to be amongst many of the brilliant nominees and filmmakers, many of which went on to take home the Oscar.

This month we are in movie mayhem as we move full speed ahead with our movie The
Maven. We will be announcing some of our key cast and locations next month in
the Dominican Republic so please stay tuned!
